The Washington Commanders completed their mandatory three-day minicamp last week and can now enjoy around six weeks off before reporting back to Ashburn for training camp in July.
It was a positive offseason for the Commanders under new general manager Adam Peters and head coach Dan Quinn. Washington welcomed well over 40 new players to the roster, including nine NFL draft picks, led by quarterback Jayden Daniels. It was a competitive offseason, too, with Quinn essentially saying everyone was competing for spots. He refused to name a starting quarterback last week, even though the expectation remains Daniels will be named starter long before Week 1.
This summer’s training camp will also be competitive. There are numerous roster spots up for grabs. So, with minicamp in the books, we project what we think Washington’s 53-man roster would look like today. You’ll notice the kicker isn’t even a current member of the 90-man roster.
