Jamin Davis gets shut down for the season
The Washington Commanders are shutting down another player for the season. Nicki Jhabvala of the Washington Post reported that starting LB Jamin Davis suffered a shoulder injury against the Miami Dolphins in Week 13. He will have surgery that will end his season. Davis played 90% of the snaps on defense against the Dolphins in a 45-10 blowout loss at home. Davis has started all 13 games this season, and has been Washington’s top linebacker.
Cody Barton was signed in the offseason, and has been a starter when healthy this season. He returned from a injured reserve against the Dallas Cowboys in another blowout loss, and will now be the Commanders top LB for the rest of the season. Washington will also have Khaleke Hudson, David Mayo, and Jabril Cox available, and they have Brandon Bouyer-Randle on the practice squad.
Commanders LB Jamin Davis will undergo shoulder surgery for an injury he suffered against the Miami Dolphins, per sources. He’ll go on IR, ending his season early.
