New WR
The Washington Commanders will likely not have WR Noah Brown for the rest of the season due to a serious internal injury(kidney). They have been making moves to add options to the wide receivers room. Jamison Crowder is practicing with the team, and could be activated from injury reserve this week.
Washington announced another move today. They have claimed WR K.J. Osborn off waivers from the New England Patriots. He signed a 1-year, $3.96 million contract this year, but it hasn’t worked out for either side. He now gets a new opportunity on a team that is likely going to the playoffs. Osborn will count for $262,222 against the cap for the last four games of the regular season, and he has the potential to earn more during the playoffs.
Osborn(5’11”, 200 lbs) was a 5th round pick by the Minnesota Vikings in 2020. He spent his first four years in the NFL with Minnesota, but only played in the last three of his rookie deal. Osborn had 158 catches for 1,845 yards and 15 TDs. He only played in 7 games this year, and had 7 receptions for 57 yards and a TD.
