New kicker
The Washington Commanders announced a pair of roster moves. Kicker Greg Joseph has been signed to the practice squad, and WR Mike Strachan has been released to open a spot.
Washington has been through multiple kickers this season, and they have signed insurance for current kicker Zane Gonzalez who was limited on the injury report with a left foot injury on Wednesday, but he was a full participant yesterday. Gonzalez was signed to the 53-man roster after missing two field goals against the Titans before the team’s bye.
Joseph was a 2018 undrafted free agent who has kicked for the Cleveland Browns, Tennessee Titans, Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants. He is 113 for 137(82.5%) in his career with a long of 61 yards. Joseph is 152 for 168(90.5%) on extra points.
