Injury updates
The Washington Commanders had their last full practice before traveling to New Orleans to play the Saints on Sunday. Earlier today they signed kicker Greg Joseph to the practice squad due to Zane Gonzalez’s foot injury. Dan Quinn said it was a move to protect the team, which is understandable after Austin Seibert returned from injury to have his worst game before going to IR. Gonzalez had his second full practice this week, and looks like he’s in line to play this week. Should Quinn elevate Joseph if there’s even a question about Gonzalez?
Marshon Lattimore will make his Washington Commanders debut, and he will be a starter against his former team. He has been a full participant in practice all week as he returns from a hamstring injury that kept him out of the last five games, including his final one with the Saints.
Noah Brown suffered a serious internal injury vs the Titans, and is likely going to miss the rest of the season. Dan Quinn said that the team would make a decision on him later in the week, and he will likely be placed on IR before Sunday’s game. Daron Payne shows up on the report with a back injury, and is the third questionable player on the report.
