Injury updates
The Washington Commanders were on the road last week, travelling to New Orleans to defeat the Saints 20-19. They’re back home for a two-game stretch before finishing the regular season in Dallas. First up is the Philadelphia Eagles, and a chance to keep them from claiming the NFC East crown for one more week.
Washington has several veterans testing today including Frankie Luvu and Terry McLaurin. TE Zach Ertz and A Jeremy Chinn both suffered concussions vs the Saints. Chinn was working on the side today. Ertz usually has a very test day on Wednesday, so we’ll have to wait until tomorrow to see if he can join the team on the field, or if he’s likely to miss another chance to play his former team
Jonathan Allen returned to the practice field after the team opened his 21-day window to return from injured reserve. He was doing drills with the team, and it didn’t look like the pec injury was restricting him too much. The injury was originally feared to be a season-ender, but wasn’t as bad as the initial reports.
Tyler Biadasz missed the Saints game after he became sick the morning of the game. Michael Deiter replaced him at center, and was limited in today’s practice. Biadasz was back today, but Sam Cosmi takes his place on the sick list.
