Road favorites
The Washington Commanders are coming off their bye week and will be visiting a New Orleans Saints team that will likely be playing a backup QB. Washington is 8-5 and they are still the 7th seed in the NFC. Washington can’t drop out of the playoff seedings this week, even if they lose to the Saints. They can move up to the 6th seed with a win, and a Packers loss. Derek Carr left the game late after hurdling attempting to hurdle a Giants defender, and bracing his fall with his left hand, which he might have broken. Jake Haener came into the game, and he is likely to be the starter with Spencer Rattler backing him up.
Opening odds for the Commanders had them as 6.5-point favorites against the Saints in New Orleans, but that has already went up a point in Washington’s favor. The O/U opens at 43.5 and hasn’t changed. Washington’s last game was a 42-19 win over the Tennessee Titans that saw them jump out to a 28-0 lead.
