Road dogs to start the year
The Washington Commanders finished last season with a 4-13 record, and they “earned” the No. 2 overall pick, selecting LSU QB Jayden Daniels. Washington has gone through massive changes since the end of the season. Managing partner Josh Harris hired Adam Peters to be the franchise’s new general manager, and they hired Dan Quinn as the team’s new head coach. The Commanders have gone through a major roster turnover, signing 20+ free agents, drafting nine players, and signing 12 UDFAs.
The Washington Commanders open up the 2024 season as 3.5-point road underdogs against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The O/U opens at 43.5. The Commanders currently have an over/under of 6.5 wins for the season, which would be an improvement over last year. A lot will depend on rookie QB Jayden Daniels, and the teams ability to protect and support him as he transitions from LSU to the NFL.
