It’s been a long offseason for the Washington Commanders. There’s been some good and some bad for Washington. First, the team got a new name, logo and uniforms. Unfortunately, the name has been criticized by the team’s fans and others.
The uniforms?
CBS Sports ranked Washington’s new black alternates No. 16. Not bad, considering we haven’t even seen the Commanders in the uniforms on the field.
What about Washington’s new home uniforms? The Commanders’ road uniforms are the new white jerseys with white pants and burgundy helmets. The white uniforms are quite different from the previous versions but have potential.
Christian D’Andrea of For the Win recently ranked every NFL team’s road uniforms for 2022. The Commanders came in at No. 26.

Again, the Commanders have a lot to fix. Uniforms weren’t high on the priority list. It’s fine.
As we so often say, rankings are subjective. If the Commanders can put together consistent winning seasons, fans will buy the jerseys, especially with talented and marketable players like Chase Young and Terry McLaurin in town.
Of Washington’s three jerseys, the white ones have received the most criticism. However, there are different combinations the Commanders could use to make longtime fans happy, such as the white jerseys with the burgundy pants.
