With the end of the World Series, three Orioles — starting pitchers Zach Eflin and Tomoyuki Sugano and catcher Gary Sánchez — are among 137 major leaguers who are free agents.
Eflin, who had three stints on the injured list and underwent back surgery in August, was the Orioles’ Opening Day starter and finished with a 6-5 record and 5.93 ERA in 14 starts.
In his first major league season, the 35-year-old Sugano was 10-10 with a 4.64 ERA in a team-leading 30 starts.
Sánchez, who had two stints on the injured list, played in just 29 games, hitting .231 with five home runs and 24 RBIs.
Teams have until 5 p.m. on Thursday to negotiate with their free agents. At that point, players can sign with other teams.
