Urban Meyer has coached in more than 200 college football games. He’s one of the best head coaches in college football history, winning two national championships at Florida and one at Ohio State.
On Sunday, Meyer will make his debut as an NFL head coach.
The first-year NFL head coach is set to make his debut as his Jacksonville Jaguars take on the Houston Texans. While neither the Jaguars nor the Texans are expected to be good this year, fans are interested to see how Meyer’s team looks in Year 1.
Meyer added some familiarity to his roster before Sunday’s opening game, too. The Jaguars activated former Ohio State wide receiver Devin Smith.

Saturday was probably a stressful day for Meyer.
The first-year NFL head coach is getting ready for his professional debut. Along the way, he had to watch his old team, Ohio State, suffer an upset loss to Oregon.
According to Meyer’s wife, Shelley, the head coach was very interested in Saturday’s result.
Y’all don’t need to worry about Urbs not thinking about the Buckeyes. He’s on his way to Houston but calling me every 5 min for updates. (Down and distance. Score). Btw…Gray 👦🏼is asleep. #MimiIsAWinner #BestBabysitter 👵🏻🙌🏆

Hopefully Sunday goes better for the Jaguars than Saturday did for Ohio State.
Jacksonville and Houston are scheduled to kick off at 1 p.m. E.T. on Sunday. The game is scheduled to air on CBS.
