The Washington Football Team played one of its better games of the 2021 season on Sunday yet lost 24-10 to the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field.
Washington gained 430 yards of total offense, while the defense held Aaron Rodgers and the Packers to 304 yards of offense. Despite that disparity, there wasn’t a time in the game where you felt the Packers couldn’t make a play when it needed one and instead were looking to just get through the game healthy.
Red-zone issues on offense killed any chance Washington had at winning the game. Washington crossed Green Bay’s 30-yard line at least six times on Sunday, and was in the red zone four times, and finished with a total of 10 points. Washington’s only touchdown came from 40 yards away.
It wasn’t Green Bay who stopped Washington — it was self-inflicted mistakes.
Now, Washington is 2-5 on the season and desperately needs a win on the road against Denver in Week 8 before the bye week.
Here’s how we graded every Washington position group from Sunday’s loss to the Packers.
